We must stand firmly in the present and dedicate ourselves to transforming current set goals to create tomorrow. For the future, much is unknown, but two facts are clear: First, in modern economic and social development, our architectural and urban construction endeavors have lagged behind other scientific fields by over a hundred years. Although we have achieved great accomplishments in these decades, especially in the past ten years, progress coexists with backwardness. We must "catch up" while "making up," "repay" while "leading," and the task is extremely challenging. Second, the process of urbanization in our country has now entered a new stage of accelerated development. It can be anticipated that in the coming decades, our architectural and urban development will enter a "golden age," and China will become one of the world's few architectural "prosperous regions." Architectural marvels will occur in this region, and architects worldwide will "wait with bated breath." Chinese architects will face an era where "circumstances create heroes," and on the vast land of China, they will showcase their talents. The future is based on our creative achievements. Architects must create excellent works and influence the era through outstanding architectural achievements. In this sense, we can also say that "heroes create circumstances." We place special hope on the efforts of Chinese architects because they will become the backbone of "creating the future." Contemporary China Famous Institutions Excellent Architectural Works Series is the crystallization of unremitting exploration in the Chinese architectural field and the fruit of creative accomplishments. It represents the highest level of contemporary Chinese architectural works and records the steps of the Chinese construction industry as it moves towards the world. May this series serve as a bridge connecting architecture and society, China and the world, exploration and creation, and today and the future!
