Features: Among campus novels, I am particularly fond of stories set in high school life. And the ages of seventeen and eighteen are the ones I favor most. Perhaps it's because I myself experienced a lot of emotions during those years. In that troublesome adolescence, there was the struggle of growing up; not an adult, nor a child, enduring transformation within a cocoon, living a confusing and undefined life—it was hard to pinpoint who I was. But it was also an age of boundless imagination and creativity. Thinking back now, it's true that the initial ideas for the works I publish today all came from my past daydreams. Every bit of emotion, every mood, or those small story sparks from back then turned out to be the most deeply etched memories.
I've written over twenty novels—have you noticed how often I describe the sunset? I spent three years watching the sunset in "Luzhou"! That's why I always try my best to depict the various aspects of the sunset and express my reflections through the heroine's perspective. Over the years in Taichung, I often sat on the museum's large lawn, using willow trees to complement the colors of the sunset. It's truly beautiful—the sunset has always given me the deepest emotions.
