The book is published in 13 volumes. This is the seventh volume, covering the Mimosaceae to Celastraceae. Each plant entry includes descriptions of morphology, distribution, and habitat, with some species also noting their main uses. Each plant is accompanied by a morphological illustration and a county-level geographical distribution map. The illustrations include newly drawn figures, reproductions of original plates from Illustrated Floras, and figures copied from previously published floras or journals, all annotated with the names of the original artists or the sources. Some plants are also accompanied by color plates.
