Features: The humanities and social sciences, and the natural sciences and technology, are the two wings that propel human civilization forward. They share the same roots and complement each other: science lays the foundation for the humanities, while the humanities guide science. They are mutually supportive and indispensable. Academician Yang Shuzi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences aptly said, "A country or a nation, without modern science and advanced technology, will crumble at the slightest touch; but without an excellent historical tradition and the humanistic spirit of the nation, it will collapse on its own. This book collects 34 articles on Wang Meng, primarily research papers, along with a few prefaces, letters, and book reviews. Most of the articles were published in newspapers and magazines or included in collections since the new era. They are broadly divided into sections such as the overall study of Wang Meng's creative works, research on Wang Meng's long novels, studies on Wang Meng's literary criticism, research on Wang Meng's short stories and essays, and studies on the language and stylistic features of Wang Meng's novels. Each section's articles are first categorized by the works they study, and then arranged in chronological order based on the publication dates of the works."
