A 7-year-old child is experiencing pain in the center of the chest. Since October 30th, the child has had three episodes of this pain, each lasting 40 minutes to an hour. After the pain, the child feels uncomfortable when breathing, has a headache, dizziness, falls, and feels weak. Afterward, everything returns to normal. Chest X-rays and echocardiograms have both been normal. In this case, it is recommended that you have the child undergo an enhanced CT scan of the aorta to confirm whether there has been a recurrence of an aortic dissection.
