Features: Since the implementation of China's reform and opening-up policy in the 1980s, extensive international academic exchanges have accelerated our alignment with international standards, leading to rapid development in oral medicine. The clinical diagnosis and treatment levels for pulp diseases and periapical diseases have also significantly improved, with root canal treatment playing a crucial role. However, to date, there have been few specialized books on root canal treatment. For this reason, we have compiled this book to share our understanding, clinical experiences, and research insights on root canal treatment. The principle guiding the writing of this book is to focus on introducing advanced experiences from both domestic and international sources, with a particular emphasis on domestic experiences, especially our own clinical practices and research achievements. Therefore, the book is organized around specialized topics, without redundant elaboration on conventional procedures and steps of root canal treatment. To align with international standards, chapters are included on areas currently not yet developed or currently lacking the conditions for development in China, such as microscopic endodontics, with an eye toward the future. The book comprises sixteen chapters, approximately 200,000 words, with 127 illustrations and 123 photographs. It serves as a professional reference book, suitable for clinical dentists, specialists in pulp diseases, postgraduate students in stomatology, undergraduate students, and resident physicians in oral medicine.
