Features: The impact of globalization on legal and legal studies is undoubtedly universal and profound. Taking international law as an example, globalization has posed challenges to many important issues in international law. For instance, in the field of public international law, globalization has introduced new challenges to traditional theories of state sovereignty, international human rights protection, and the relationship between international law and domestic law, requiring us to reinterpret fundamental concepts such as the state, sovereignty, and human rights, as well as to re-examine the relationship between international law and domestic law. In the field of private international law, globalization has made the trend of convergence in private international law increasingly evident, while also demanding that private international law adapt to the reconstruction of the new international civil and commercial order and undergo functional transformation. In the field of international economic law, issues such as the legal response to economic globalization and the reconstruction of the new international economic order have been challenged by the trend of economic globalization. Although these problems are difficult to solve effectively in the short term, they should attract widespread attention from legal professionals, and all legal practitioners should devote more effort to researching these issues. At the same time, globalization has also posed many challenges to legal research itself. For example, globalization requires legal researchers to move beyond narrow nationalist and statist perspectives and examine legal issues from the perspective of the international community. Globalization also demands that legal research methods emphasize both the similarities and differences in laws across different countries, requiring legal professionals to strengthen their training and research in comparative law. Based on these reflections and considerations, a group of teaching and research backbone members from the International Law Department of Hunan Normal University have successively written this series of "Studies on International Law and Comparative Law." The authors of this series are all mid-career teachers and researchers who have obtained doctorates in international law. They have achieved outstanding research results in their respective fields and possess unique insights into the issues they study. The publication of this series is of great significance for strengthening the research on international law and comparative law in China, popularizing knowledge of international law and comparative law, and guiding legal practice in China's foreign political, economic, and cultural exchanges.
