What should I do if the child does not eat well?

Patient's question:

The child, who is three months old, has already started not drinking milk properly (from the bottle). They eat a little and then stop, drinking a meal that lasts an hour. Later, they became even worse at drinking milk. Now at six months, they eat a few mouthfuls and then stop. For the past two months, they have been force-fed with a spoon. Watching the child cry, there’s nothing I can do. Even starving them for four hours doesn’t help them drink properly. I took them to a small hospital, but the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong because the child seems normal in all other aspects. However, at night when feeding them, they drink well with their eyes closed, making a gulping sound. But during the day, they can’t. I don’t know why.

Doctor's answer:

If you have already taken your child for a health check-up and the growth and development tests are normal, then parents should first relax their mindset and make changes to the feeding method. Forcefully forcing your child to drink milk will only make them more resistant to drinking milk, making them feel that drinking milk is a painful thing. Parents should encourage the child to have unrestricted bowel movements and understand that eating is a happy thing. Starting now, parents should no longer force-feed milk, not force the child, but instead use a relaxed attitude to attract the child to drink milk, and also change the habit of drinking milk while drowsy at bedtime.
