Features: In fact, there are more than ten schools that have influenced Chinese wisdom, strategy, and politics, but the most influential are mainly Confucianism, Taoism, and Legalism. Although Chinese wisdom and politics often present a complex and diverse state, they ultimately remain rooted in the same essence. As long as one grasps the core ideas of these three schools, they will gain a profound understanding of Chinese wisdom.
The wisdom of Confucianism is extremely profound. This depth lies in the fact that Confucian strategy is a great wisdom that transcends mere strategy. Its methods of planning are not about forcing others to comply through harsh and direct intellect, like Legalism or the Military School. Instead, it focuses on winning the hearts of people, encouraging them to actively improve their moral cultivation and dedicate themselves to the ideal of the "Kingly Way" with an aesthetic attitude.
The wisdom of Taoism is highly clever. The most prominent feature of Huang-Lao Taoism is ruling the world through wisdom. In the discourses of Huang-Lao, we can clearly see that it everywhere exudes an air of intellectual superiority and shows disdain for the foolishness of other schools. The laws of Legalism differ fundamentally from today's laws. The laws of Legalism were tools used by rulers to govern the world. Law, technique, and power were all based on a foundation of injustice, lack of fairness, and immorality.
