What are the reasons for children being constipated?

Patient's question:

I had six or seven bowel movements a day, which is not unusual. The food didn't get digested and came out, so is it due to poor digestion or overeating? Past treatment history and effectiveness: No treatment. What kind of help do you want: I want your solution.

Doctor's answer:

Some children may have a bowel movement 6-7 times a day, but each time the amount is not significant, the stool is of good quality, and their weight continues to increase, with excellent nutritional status. This is not a pathological condition and does not require any intervention. If a child normally has 1-2 bowel movements a day but suddenly has 5-6 or more, and the stool contains more moisture or undigested food residue, they should seek medical attention for a follow-up examination. If the child has again exhibited symptoms of indigestion, it may be considered to give them a large number of yeast tablets.
