Can someone with chronic hives get the flu vaccine?

Patient's question:

I have had chronic urticaria for 7 years, with it being most severe in the summer. My skin leaves scratches when I scratch it. About my past treatment and its effectiveness: I have taken both Western and Chinese medicine, but it has improved somewhat by now. The kind of assistance I am looking for: Can chronic urticaria be treated with the flu vaccine?

Doctor's answer:

1. Those who are allergic to eggs or any other components in the vaccine (including excipients, formaldehyde, melted liquid, etc.), especially those allergic to ovalbumin.
2. Individuals with acute diseases, severe chronic diseases, acute episodes of chronic diseases, fever, or high temperature.
3. Patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome.
4. Individuals with uncontrolled epilepsy or other progressive neurological diseases.
5. Those with severe allergic, or those allergic to gentamicin sulfate.
6. Individuals under the age of 3.
7. Other individuals whom the doctor believes are not suitable for vaccination.
Advice: If you are diagnosed with chronic urticaria, I personally recommend that you not receive the influenza vaccine.
