Features: Franz Liszt, the Hungarian composer and pianist, showed extraordinary musical talent from a young age. At the age of eleven, he was sent by his father to Vienna to study music. After half a year, he gave his debut performance at the Vienna Congress Music Hall in late 1822, causing a sensation in the Vienna music world. At twelve, Liszt went to Paris for his first performance, which marked the beginning of his professional performing career. Thereafter, he continuously toured France, Britain, and various parts of Europe, earning praise from the European music world and royal nobility at the time, quickly establishing himself as a renowned pianist. He gained fame for his brilliant and extraordinary techniques, reaching the height of his fame. Liszt's piano etudes are of advanced level and have never been published in China (the People's Music Publishing House's Selected Piano Works of Liszt included only a few of them). However, for two reasons: first, there are thousands of people who have passed the national 10th-level examination, and second, there is a strong need in professional teaching (especially for those preparing for competitions). Professor Yao Shizhen of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music has revised and annotated this edition based on three excellent versions (Moscow Music Publishing House, American Dover Publishing House, German Peters Publishing House), publishing it as two different types. This book includes twelve of Liszt's super etudes, with annotations by the editor based on multiple international versions.
