Is there any good treatment for a child's kidney deficiency?
Doctor's answer:
Kidney deficiency refers to the insufficiency of essence, qi, yin, and yang in the kidneys. Kidney deficiency can be further divided into kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency. Kidney yin deficiency manifests as dizziness, weight loss, insomnia with frequent dreams, flushed cheeks, hot flashes, excessive thirst, and short, yellow urine. The main symptoms of kidney yang deficiency are soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees, aversion to cold, and cold limbs. The other symptoms include lack of energy, dizziness, tinnitus and deafness, clear and long urination, nocturia, difficulty urinating, and loose, undigested stools. It is recommended to avoid excessive consumption of bitter, cold, and icy foods, as they can harm the kidneys. Examples include aloe vera, bitter gourd, ice cream, and goose meat, all of which are detrimental to kidney health. Instead, it is advisable to consume more dark-colored and warming traditional Chinese medicines, such as black rice and black beans.
