Features: This book has been revised based on the "Teaching Syllabus for the National Unified Examination of Higher Education Diploma Programs (Trial)" and the "Examination Syllabus for Basic English" issued by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education in 1998. On the original version, content has been added and deleted according to the "College Basic English" textbook for the National Unified Examination of Higher Education Diplomas, jointly compiled by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and the Office of the National Advisory Committee on Self-Study for Higher Education Examinations. Special attention has been given to increasing the content related to the writing section of the exam, in line with recent trends. The purpose of writing this book is to support the exam organized by the Ministry of Education. Additionally, we found that among the numerous types of exam preparation materials available, those suitable for the Higher Education Diploma Programs are scarce. To meet the growing needs of readers aspiring to succeed, we have written this book after referring to a large number of textbooks, question banks, and studying the patterns of question setting in China and abroad, combined with our teaching experience. This book is aimed at students taking the National Unified Examination of Higher Education Diplomas. Its purpose is to guide students to review and master the English knowledge and skills they have learned effectively, thereby passing the diploma exam smoothly.
The features of this book include a close alignment with the new syllabus, concise content, emphasis on the key and difficult points of college English, and a strong practical, targeted, and instructive approach, making it convenient for students to study, practice, and self-assess. It helps readers consolidate their knowledge and improve their exam skills in a short time, achieving twice the result with half the effort. The book is divided into three parts. Part 1 includes the syllabus introduction and a discussion on study methods. The second part explains the key exam content and formats of various common question types, providing answer tips for reference. After each explanation, there are a certain number of practice exercises...
