Features: This book is written based on the spirit of the conference on "Teaching Reform of Electrical and Electronic Course System for the 21st Century" held in Beijing in July 1998. The book is divided into 7 chapters, covering the following content: operation rules and simplification methods of number systems and Boolean algebra; various basic gate circuits; common combinational logic circuits; the logical functions of general-type flip-flops; analysis methods of common sequential logic circuits; generation and shaping methods of common pulse waveforms; memory and programmable logic devices, as well as the conversion between digital and analog quantities. During the writing process, the book strives to highlight the following points: considering the rapid development and ever-changing trends of current electronic technology, the content of new technologies is appropriately strengthened, with medium-scale integrated circuits as the main focus. In terms of teaching methods, we aim to present basic concepts and fundamental principles. Due to the limitation of teaching hours, physical concepts are used to explain the essence of problems, avoiding extensive formula derivations. Overall, the book is designed to be easy to understand, progressive in difficulty, and self-study-friendly, aiming to achieve an appropriate depth and breadth with a limited number of study hours. This book can serve as a textbook for the digital circuit part of "Fundamentals of Electronic Technology" courses in non-electrical disciplines, as a follow-up course textbook after "Fundamentals of Circuits" and "Fundamentals of Applied Electronic Technology," and as a supplementary textbook and elective course for learning computer hardware.
