Boy 3 years old, both buttocks are asymmetrical, what department to see

Patient's question:

Child, male, 3 years and 7 months, noticed asymmetry in both buttocks, duration of about 1 year. On January 10, 2019, he had a follow-up visit at the pediatric orthopedics department of a local top-tier hospital, where pelvic X-rays were taken, showing no abnormalities. The doctor recommended a follow-up check-up in a year! It's been too long, and I'm not at ease. Are there any other possible causes? I'd like to see a doctor, but I don't know which department to consult. Please help me take a look, thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Asymmetry of both buttocks, the child is still considered for congenital hip dislocation, but from your X-ray, there was no obvious meniscus injury seen. If you need to go to a higher-level hospital for consultation, you should go to the orthopedics department for follow-up. If the large hospital has more specialized departments, you can go to the pediatric orthopedics department for follow-up. Additionally, if you want to consult about the child's growth and development, you can go to the endocrinology department for follow-up.
