Features: The main feature of this textbook series lies in its breadth. One aspect of this breadth is its focus on all students, not just those with strong language foundations or those preparing for liberal arts studies. Middle school Chinese is a compulsory course for every citizen in modern society, so all textbooks in this series should be effective for all students, without any pre-assigned professional divisions. The second aspect of this breadth is its focus on students' comprehensive literacy, not just language skills or cultural knowledge. Chinese is far more than just a single course; it necessarily embodies an overall personality structure represented by language and characters. This includes cultural traditions, humanistic spirit, as well as modern thinking and practical abilities. For this reason, this textbook series attempts to participate in students' holistic development, restoring the unique overall nature of Chinese teaching compared to other specialized courses. Such breadth, though not easily achieved, fully reflects the social responsibility of a true educator. In my opinion, the novelty of the "New Curriculum Standards" lies first not in the novelty of textbooks but in the novelty of perspective. This textbook series broadens the fundamental scope of "Chinese," giving it a deeper and richer life dimension.
