Features: Accompaniment is an integral part of singing. Accompaniment helps singers maintain pitch, rhythm, and tempo, ensuring better connection between musical phrases and sections, and enriches the musical atmosphere through harmonious colors, thereby enhancing the artistic effect of the song. The accordion, with its beautiful tone, wide dynamic range, rich sound effects, and unique advantages in volume and intensity variations, has become one of the most widely used instruments in concerts and various musical activities, often serving as an accompaniment. Accordion accompaniment can be divided into two types: written accompaniment and improvisational accompaniment. Written accompaniment refers to a form of accompaniment where the performer practices according to an existing score before collaborating with the vocalist. Generally, written accompaniment is more rigorous and meticulous in terms of texture, patterns, harmony, and rhythmic structures. Improvisational accompaniment, on the other hand, is a form of accompaniment where the performer adapts on the spot within a short period, based on the style, key, mode, rhythm, expressive content of the song, and the specific characteristics of the vocalist. In the artistic practice of accordion accompaniment, improvisational accompaniment is more common. Even for written accompaniment, the scores are mostly composed by accordion players. Therefore, for accordion learners or performers, mastering accompaniment composition techniques and possessing strong accompaniment skills are crucial. Moreover, these skills and techniques do not directly correspond to mere playing proficiency or professional level but rather reflect a performer's comprehensive qualities, including technical skills, music theory foundation, harmonic knowledge, key and mode concepts, as well as music analysis and aesthetic taste. Improving accompaniment skills, in addition to mastering the theories and techniques explained in this book, requires accumulation and practice through regular listening, observation, writing, and exercise.
