How to treat tears and something in the eyes

Patient's question:

Tears, except for the yellowish substance, within a week due to fever-induced past treatment and its effectiveness: Taking children's anti-inflammatory medicine didn't work, what kind of assistance is needed: How should it be treated? Is it harmful to the eyes...

Doctor's answer:

Fever is caused by viruses, and there are over 200 different viruses that can cause fever. Approximately 10% to 20% of fevers are caused by bacteria. Infants under one year old are more susceptible to colds because their immune systems have not yet fully developed.
Treatment for Fever
1. Take the baby to the hospital. Doctors often recommend various tests to determine the cause of the fever.
2. If the fever is viral, there is no specific medication. The main focus is to care for the baby and reduce symptoms. Generally, it improves within 7 to 10 days.
3. If the fever is bacterial, doctors may prescribe antibiotics. It is essential to take the medication on time and in the correct dosage. Some parents may increase the dosage to speed up recovery, but this is highly discouraged, as it can lead to adverse effects.
4. If the baby has a fever, follow the doctor's advice and take fever-reducing medication only if the temperature is above 38.5°C. Avoid taking cold medicine randomly. For infants under one year old, taking cold medicine indiscriminately often does more harm than good.
5. If nasal congestion makes it difficult for the baby to breastfeed, consult a doctor for saline nasal drops. Administer the drops 15 minutes before feeding, and then use a nasal aspirator to remove the saline and mucus from the baby's nose. Saline drops can dissolve thick mucus, making it easier to clean. Never use decongestant or other nasal drops without a doctor's permission.
