Features: Based on the "Teaching Syllabus for English in Full-Time Junior High Schools under the Nine-Year Compulsory Education Program" formulated by the Ministry of Education, and using the newly compiled junior high school English textbooks by the People's Education Press as the foundation, this book is closely aligned with the syllabus while appropriately expanding its content. It increases the difficulty level around the textbook material and adopts forms and content that match the psychological characteristics of junior high school students and conform to language habits. It aims to integrate the fun, ease of use, systematic nature, and knowledge of English into one. The book is divided into three volumes, one for each grade from first to third, and is accompanied by audio cassettes. Each volume is divided into two parts and four types of exercises. Part 1 is listening training, and the second part is the listening scripts and reference answers for exercises, which are provided for teachers' classroom instruction, parents' after-school tutoring, and students' checking answers. This book adopts a one-lesson-one-exercise approach based on the textbook, developing both auditory skills and dictation-related abilities. It progresses from simple to complex, starting from words, phrases, and single sentences, to dialogues and short passages. It appropriately includes listening and singing, reciting poems, and humorous short passages suitable for your level. Through repetition and comparison, it enhances the understanding and retention of key knowledge points, gradually strengthening students' listening skills. Additionally, the book provides six listening exercises for midterm and final tests to assess or self-assess students' listening proficiency. This book can also be used for regular self-study or classroom instruction for junior high school students. The basic goal is to train listening skills and techniques, enabling students from first to third grade to gradually understand materials with a speed of 90–110 words per minute and engage in simple English conversations.
