Features: Since 1976, researchers from Harvard Medical School have recruited over 120,000 female volunteers to begin a study called "The Nurses' Health Study." After 25 years of relentless effort, the Nurses' Health Study has become one of the longest-running, most comprehensive, and largest health studies. This book compiles and organizes the findings of the Nurses' Health Study, not only introducing lifestyles that may lead to diseases and those that can prevent them but also providing readers with practical methods for improving their lifestyle comprehensively. Twenty-five years ago, we began the Nurses' Health Study, which was a milestone in women's health research. Now, the Nurses' Health Study continues to be the longest-running and largest study in all women's health research. We thank the 120,000 professional nurses who participated in the study. With their help, our research scope has expanded from the causes of cancer and heart disease to the beneficial effects of fruits and vegetables, covering almost every aspect of women's health. The conclusions of the study can guide women in choosing healthy lifestyles to reduce their risk of various diseases and improve their quality of life comprehensively. In this book, we provide readers with a wealth of research data that can help them maintain a healthy lifestyle and good health. We primarily cite data from the Nurses' Health Study, in addition to referencing the conclusions of other relevant studies to conduct a thorough analysis of diseases that may lead to disability or life-threatening conditions. At the same time, we also aim to help women distinguish between true and false information in the vast amount of health-related information.
