Features: Dongfang Luchu is located by the Dianshan Lake in Qingpu District, Shanghai. Covering an area of 5,600 acres, it boasts vast waters and lush vegetation, where the natural environment and cultural landscapes are perfectly integrated. Upon entering the main gate, a 700-meter-long, 24-meter-wide Knowledge Avenue showcases sculptures of 162 famous figures from ancient and modern times, both Chinese and foreign, and their major achievements. It is the largest sculpture group in China.
The eastern part of the park is the National Defense Education Zone, where a 220-meter-long, 46-meter-wide, and 45-meter-high simulated aircraft carrier is docked. The Military Science and Technology Museum within the zone displays the achievements and trends of modern military technology around the world through sound, light, and multimedia forms. It is currently the most comprehensive and technologically advanced military science and technology museum in China.
In the northern part of the park, the Earth Village is built with 30 buildings of traditional architecture from various countries, serving as camping and accommodation for young people. It showcases the diverse cultures and customs of different nations. The 170,000-square-meter large lawn is the largest in Shanghai, and the 3.5-kilometer-long Lakefront Avenue is dotted with the picturesque Dianshan Lake, featuring attractions such as the Fisherfolk Wharf, Moon Bay, and the Lakefront Plaza, making it a place where visitors can linger and enjoy.
