Patient's question:
My baby is over 40 days old. Lately, she cries every two nights. When she cries, her body trembles slightly, as if she's been startled, but she can't explain it. She cries very intensely, usually around 7 to 10 p.m. Please help urgently.Doctor's answer:
If the child experiences this situation again, it is often caused by discomfort in the stomach, as well as possibly being triggered by excessive fright. If the child, in addition to abdominal pain (lying flat on the bed with the abdomen higher than the chest), vomiting, and poor bowel movements, it indicates discomfort in the stomach, mostly due to poor digestion. If the child indeed experienced excessive fright before this situation reoccurred, then it should be considered as being caused by excessive fright.
