Features: Jiang Guofang graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1978 and remained at the institution to teach. In 1980, his work "Rapid Currents of the Three Gorges" was collected by the National Art Museum of China. In 1984, his oil painting "Autumn in Ancient Frontier" participated in the Sixth National Art Exhibition and won the Beijing First Prize. In 1990, his oil painting "Homeland" took part in the International Youth Biennial Exhibition and received the International Excellence Award. In 1991, his works were published in the series "Chinese Contemporary Art—Classical Style Oil Paintings" compiled by the Chinese Academy of Arts, accompanied by a special essay. In 1992, his series oil paintings "Imperial Concubine" participated in the inaugural "Chinese Oil Painting Annual Exhibition" in Hong Kong, gaining international attention. Concurrently, his oil painting "Backlit" was included in a Hong Kong auction. In 1993, he held the "Concrete Oil Painting Exhibition" at the National Art Museum of China and participated in the Singapore International Art Fair. In 1994, he was named one of the eight most popular contemporary Chinese painters by China's《Vogue》magazine. He held the first "Jiang Guofang · Forbidden City" solo exhibition in Hong Kong, accompanied by a large-scale exhibition catalog, which was a great success. He also participated in the Hong Kong International Art Fair. In 1995, he took part in the "Chinese Contemporary Oil Painting Exhibition" organized by the European Community in Belgium and was invited to visit Europe. He was invited as a special guest to the Hong Kong International Art Fair. In 1996, he was interviewed by China Central Television and a personality special film 《Jiang Guofang · Forbidden City》was produced. He accepted an invitation from the United States and visited America. His oil painting "" was sold at a Hong Kong Christie's auction for the highest price in history. In 1997, his oil painting "Quiet Night" was sold at a Hong Kong Christie's auction. In 1998, he held his second and third solo exhibitions in Hong Kong. His oil painting "Silent Forbidden City" was sold at a Beijing auction, setting another record for the highest price in auctions. In 1999, his oil painting "Silent Forbidden City" was auctioned again at Hong Kong Christie's, and his oil painting "Gaze" was sold at a Hong Kong Christie's auction. In 2000, his oil painting "Winter Sparrows" was sold at a Hong Kong Christie's auction, with the work featured on the cover.
