This is, also known as a calcium ring, caused by calcium deficiency.
Guidance: For an eight-month-old child, the daily calcium requirement for infants under one year is 400mg, and vitamin D is 300IU. However, since there is some digestion in breast milk or formula, and sunlight can help the body generate vitamin D, it is recommended to provide an additional 1/2 to 2/3 based on the baby's intake. Providing 150~200IU is sufficient.
Pediatric expert advice:
Calcium:
- Up to 6 months: 1 capsule per day;
- 6 months to 12 months: 1 capsule in the morning and evening;
- 12 months to 24 months: 1 capsule in the morning, noon, and evening;
- 24 months to 36 months: 2 capsules in the morning and evening.
Shark liver oil:
- Before 1 year: Shark liver oil; after 1 year: cod liver oil.
- Up to 1 year: Shark liver oil—1 capsule per day in summer, and 1 capsule in the morning and evening in winter;
