Features: Haier is one of the miracles that emerged in China in the 20th century. A small factory with a loss of 1.47 million yuan, it became an internationally renowned corporate group after 16 years, with annual sales reaching 40.6 billion yuan and maintaining an average growth rate of 80%. It was named the fastest-growing company in the global home appliance industry by U.S. magazine Home Appliances and the most reputable company in the Asia-Pacific region by the Financial Times (UK). CEO Zhang Ruimin thus took the stage at the Global Wealth Forum. Haier is undoubtedly a model of successful Chinese national industry. This book tells the story of Haier and explores the secrets of its growth. The two authors boldly adopt an analytical and commentative writing approach, conducting a series of comparative studies between Haier and foreign companies. The purpose is not to record Haier's history but to interpret the Haier phenomenon, summarize and examine the inevitable processes and future trajectories of Chinese enterprises in the contemporary era. The book emphasizes that the meaning of "Haier: Made in China" goes far beyond the "hardware," which refers to the rise of Chinese manufacturing and the global expansion of Chinese brands. More importantly, it highlights the "software" aspect, i.e., how Haier, under China's current social, economic, and cultural conditions, has developed a successful corporate management mechanism rich in Chinese characteristics. The journey of "Haier: Made in China" proves that great companies are never born but are built.
