How much blood does a child need to donate?

Patient's question:

How much blood does a child need to donate? Why isn't one syringe enough? We don't know what the blood is used for. We can't bear to have the child donate again.
Past treatment history and effectiveness: Just born.
What kind of help do you want to receive: I want to ask why so much blood is drawn, and why it's not enough.

Doctor's answer:

Now, there are many blood tests, such as routine blood tests, coagulation tests, hepatitis B, liver and kidney function tests, etc. If the amount of blood drawn is relatively small, then the machine's cycling process is not enough to produce results naturally. Additionally, there is a concern that the results might be problematic, and these blood samples can be rechecked carefully. If a small amount of blood is drawn initially, and there is an issue upon retesting, it would still need to be drawn again. Wouldn't that be even more painful? Wishing the child healthy growth.
