This edition of the Duden Illustrated Dictionary, published in a Chinese-English format, not only provides Chinese translations for each entry but also includes an English index arranged alphabetically at the end of the book (a Chinese index arranged by Pinyin will be added in future editions if necessary). The Chinese translations were provided by the original publishers, but some of the translations of specialized terms and object names differ from the commonly used names in mainland China. Therefore, we have made some modifications to the original translations, and we take full responsibility for any inaccuracies. For some images in the original book, with the consent of Oxford University Press, we have also made necessary technical adjustments. However, since the original book covers a wide range of topics, with a focus on Western affairs, if there are still imperfections in the translations, we welcome feedback from and experts.
