How to solve the problem of a baby unwilling to drink water and take medicine, lacking energy?

Patient's question:

Initially, I was vomiting and went to the hospital where I received an IV drip. After going home, I stopped vomiting. However, I experienced nausea and vomiting again, so I went to the hospital once more and received another IV drip. Now, the frequency of nausea and vomiting has decreased, but I lack energy and don't drink much water.

What kind of assistance would you like: The baby is unwilling to drink water or medicine and lacks energy. How can this be addressed? Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

It requires a large amount of water. The amount of water to be fed each time is: Week 2 after birth - 30 milliliters; Week 3 - 45 milliliters; One month later - 50~60 milliliters; At 3 months - 60~75 milliliters; At 4 months - 70~80 milliliters; At 6 months - 80~100 milliliters; At 8~12 months - 100~120 milliliters. In summer, the amount of water should be appropriately increased. When having a fever, high fever, or vomiting/dizziness/nausea/vomiting due to dehydration, it is even more important to drink water more frequently.
Advice: Plain water is the best drink for infants and young children. For babies who dislike drinking water, it is recommended to feed them plain water when they are particularly thirsty. Between meals, you can give them some dissolved juice or a lot of vegetable broth.
