How to deal with a child who often wets the bed

Patient's question:

The child is now four and a half years old. As soon as they take a nap, they urinate a lot. They need to urinate four or five times during the night, and they have to go two or three times during a two-hour nap. It's very easy for them to wet the bed, and each time they urinate, the amount is quite large. What should we do?
The son doesn't like to eat meat, but he does like vegetables. I don't know if his aversion to wetting the bed is related to his not eating meat and not getting enough nutrients. I hope the doctor can help me understand this issue. Thank you very much.
Previous treatment history and effectiveness: I haven't been to the hospital for follow-up. I used to think this was normal.
The kind of help I need: I hope to get an explanation from the doctor. Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Bedwetting refers to involuntary urination during sleep, which is only realized upon waking, hence it is also known as enuresis. It is primarily a condition affecting children aged 3 to 12. The causes can be classified as functional or organic. The former is associated with hereditary factors and tends to occur in neurotic children, while the latter is a symptom of certain underlying diseases. Congenital brain development disorders or functional disturbances of the brain due to various postnatal factors, as well as the loss of spinal reflex arcs or lesions in the urinary system and its surrounding structures, may all lead to bedwetting.
Medical advice: Before the age of 3, the central urinary function is still under development, and reflexive urination during this period does not qualify as this condition. In traditional Chinese medicine, this condition is also referred to as "enuresis" and is known as "bedwetting." It is believed that bedwetting may occur when the kidneys and bladder are both deficient, unable to control the urinary tract, or when the spleen and lungs are weak, failing to regulate water passage.
