Publish Date: 1999-07-01
Features: Books 1 to 4 of "Modern Spanish" are practical speaking and writing course textbooks for undergraduate students in their first and second years of Spanish major at higher education institutions. They basically retain the structure and format of "Spanish" published by Commercial Press (same author), but the content of the texts has been almost entirely updated to meet the needs of the times. In addition, considering the improvement in students' learning abilities, the arrangement of grammar difficulties has been correspondingly concentrated, and the vocabulary has been significantly increased. To facilitate students' understanding and mastery, the translation of grammatical terms has been appropriately adjusted in accordance with the common expressions used in Chinese and English teaching in China. The number of texts in each book is arranged based on 18 weeks of instruction per semester. Book 1 consists of 24 lessons, with the first 12 lessons focusing on pronunciation training, covering 2 lessons per week (based on 10 hours/week, with 4 hours for 1 lesson and 1 hour for review). The last 12 lessons cover 1 lesson per week, with the focus shifting to grammar and vocabulary without relaxing pronunciation training. Most common grammar points are taught in the first 3 books.
