The Revolution in Management: Theories and Methods for Creating Learning Organizations: Theories and Methods for Creating Learning Organizations

Author: Yu Wenzhao
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-11-01
Features: This book is the research outcome of the author's National Natural Science Foundation of China project titled "Research on the Theory and Methods of Establishing Learning Organizations in Modern Enterprises." It is a research-based publication with a certain depth in the elaboration of theory and methods. However, to attract a broad readership and fulfill the role of popularization, the book has omitted a large amount of complex data processing, aiming to compile a work that is both profound and accessible to a wide audience. The book is divided into eight chapters.
Chapter 1: "Learning Organizations—The Revolution in Management," primarily outlines the main content of learning organizations and the five disciplines, accompanied by numerous case studies to help readers understand that creating successful learning organizations in real-world settings is essential.
Chapter 2: "The Theoretical Basis and Framework of Learning Organizations," systematically analyzes the theoretical foundations of learning organizations, such as systems dynamics and learning theory. More importantly, this chapter innovatively proposes new perspectives, including the "Learning Organization as a Human-Centered Organization" theory as a new stage in its development, the "Learning Person" humanistic assumption, and the idea that "continuous learning is the cultural core of learning organizations."
Chapter 3, 5: "The Theory and Methods of Cultivating Learning-Oriented Employees," "The Theory and Methods of Creating Learning-Oriented Teams," and "The Theory and Methods of Cultivating Learning-Oriented Leaders." These chapters innovatively emphasize the importance of self-management and autonomous learning when cultivating learning-oriented employees, and provide specific methods for implementing strategies for autonomous learning training.
Chapter 7: "The Theory and Methods of Organizational Learning."
In summary, this book not only incorporates the research achievements of previous scholars but also primarily features innovative outcomes obtained through the diligent efforts of the research team led by the author. As part of the report to the National Natural Science Foundation of China and a broad readership, it is hoped that the book will receive more feedback after publication.
