How to handle a red face, runny nose, and fever in babies

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: The baby has had a cold recently (tears/running nose/saliva) and took Hao Wang Hao (the brand name for the medicine). The running nose stopped, but the baby is crying, still salivating, and the face is still very red. Today, the baby's face is very red and hot. I measured the temperature at 38.5 degrees. I don't know what to do? Also, is there caffeine in the Hao Wang Hao the baby is taking, and is it bad for the baby?
Duration of the illness and current status: 3 days.
Current general condition: Red face, salivation, fever at 38.5 degrees, crying a lot.
Medical history: The baby has had a cold three times in a row. Each time, it didn't recover for long before getting sick again, and each time the baby also coughed.

Doctor's answer:

Hello:
Your child's condition is actually just a common cold! There's no need to worry too much. A temperature of 38.5°C doesn't require special treatment—just drink more water and use lukewarm compresses (be careful not to let them get cold). If the temperature continues to rise, you can give them a fever-reducing medicine (like Tylenol). The drooling might be due to swollen tonsils.
Honestly, I still recommend taking them to the hospital clinic for a check-up. Children shouldn't be given medicine indiscriminately! (I haven't used Hǎo Wáwa specifically, but caffeine won't have a significant side effect on children. Besides, their flushed face could be due to fever, and caffeine also has some influence on that.)
Your child is currently in the age group that is prone to colds, but it will get better as they grow older!
