What should I do if there is a hard lump in my baby's abdomen?

Patient's question:

Symptom Description: The baby is now 9 months old. Starting from the fifth month, we gradually introduced complementary foods, mainly giving fruit porridge and milk powder each day, with fruits like apple puree. Since the sixth month, whenever the baby eats porridge-like complementary foods, hard lumps often appear in the stomach, sometimes accompanied by vomiting. The burps are sour-smelling, and the baby has a bowel movement once a day.
Medical History and Treatment Effects: We took the baby to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor diagnosed it as indigestion and prescribed medication. The symptoms improved while taking the medicine, but they returned after stopping the medication.
Help Needed: Could you please tell me if my baby might have any other underlying conditions?

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, from a medical perspective, the stomach is located below the lower edge of the left ribs. However, many people always think the stomach is below the central sternum. If it is here, that is the xiphoid process, a small piece of free-floating bone at the lower edge of the sternum, which is normal and everyone has. Bowel movements should be normal. When transitioning from meconium to normal stool, there may be green stool, followed by yellow stool. Breastfed babies' stools are generally looser than those of formula-fed babies. Having 7-8 bowel movements a day is normal.
