Features: Surgical operation is one of the main methods for treating diseases. With the development of science and the advancement of medical technology, the scope of surgical treatment for diseases has been continuously expanding. Surgical techniques have undergone many improvements and innovations, leading to the emergence of numerous new surgical methods, while traditional surgical approaches have also evolved. To meet the needs of the development of surgery in China and to provide a comprehensive introduction to various surgical methods currently used in clinical practice as well as perioperative management to physicians who rely on surgery as a treatment method, we, under the organization and leadership of the Health Department of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, compiled this "Comprehensive Surgery."
Focusing on the urgent needs of surgical doctors and the realities of clinical work, the book systematically introduces commonly used conventional surgical procedures and their modifications from a practical perspective. It also emphasizes introducing new surgical methods that represent current trends. Additionally, it analyzes and introduces controversial surgical techniques that have a significant impact in clinical practice, as well as some uncommon surgical procedures with academic significance. The content presented in this book is quite comprehensive, and the knowledge provided is extremely rich.
This book is a revised edition of the previous version, systematically elaborating on the fundamental theories and various surgical methods of urological surgery. It includes common classic surgical procedures and relatively mature newly developed surgeries for injuries of organs such as the adrenal gland, kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, urethra, penis, scrotum, etc., as well as the application of intra-abdominal and retroperitoneal spaces in urological surgery, endoscopic urology, laparoscopic surgery, and the use of the intestine and omentum in urological operations. Each surgical procedure is detailed in terms of indications, contraindications, preoperative preparation, anesthesia and positioning, surgical steps, key points during the operation, postoperative management, and major complications, accompanied by precise anatomical diagrams and surgical operation illustrations.
The author primarily summarizes their own practical experience while also referring to the latest domestic and international literature, providing a relatively comprehensive reflection of the current level of development in urological surgery. This book holds high academic and practical value, making it suitable for urological physicians at all levels and students and faculty of medical colleges for study and reference.
