Features: Newly Compiled College English is a teaching material developed based on the "student-centered thematic teaching model." The content and features of this book are as follows:
(1) The Reading Comprehension in each unit is selected around the theme of the text and appropriately supplemented with additional content. To enhance students' writing skills, various question types such as multiple-choice, translation, and short-answer questions are adopted, fully reflecting the goal of cultivating students' practical language application abilities. At the same time, the reading volume is increased, allowing students to improve their English proficiency through extensive reading.
(2) The Translation section aims to improve students' translation skills.
(3) The Vocabulary and Structure sections are exercises based on key vocabulary and sentence patterns from the texts, serving as extensions and supplements to the text knowledge, enabling students to further consolidate the language skills learned in class after class.
(4) The Cloze section is a training exercise to assess students' comprehensive English application abilities. The selected passages are highly informative, engaging, and readable.
(5) The Situational Conversation section is designed to train students in applying language in specific linguistic environments. This book includes reference answers, allowing learners to conduct self-tests after completing each lesson according to their needs.
