Features: Today, tourism has shifted from fashion to a common practice. After people meet their basic needs and even achieve a moderately prosperous life, it is very natural for them to travel and explore the world. Jiangsu Fine Arts Publishing House has planned this series of books on Nanjing's Republican-era tourism to facilitate people's travel, which is a very insightful initiative. During the writing process of this book, Comrades Zhang Yan and Chen Jiangtao put in a great deal of effort in collecting and preparing the photographs. We extend our gratitude to them. Above all, we would like to express our special thanks to my wife Ding Ping. She not only participated in the writing but also took photos at various scenic spots. Without her tireless efforts, the completion of this book would have been impossible. I had the privilege of participating in the writing of both Nanjing Ming and Qing Architecture and Nanjing Republican Architecture. Now, thanks to the trust of Editor Sun Jianjun, I am once again entrusted with the writing of this book. Writing travel books is a new challenge for me, as it requires authentic and moving historical stories, vivid and elegant tour guide language, and so on. However, these are precisely the areas where I lack experience. Due to my long-term engagement in the editing and research of historical materials, the information provided in this book may be somewhat dry and academic. We sincerely welcome readers to offer their guidance. In addition to referring to Nanjing Republican Architecture, the materials for this book also drew from Capital Chronicle, historical records of the construction of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the Sun Yat-sen Funeral Ceremony, and historical and cultural materials of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. We extend our special thanks for this and adhere to the image standards and fees of Jiangsu Fine Arts Publishing House.
