Part 2 discusses the analysis of various chemical components, as well as animal and mineral medicines, highlighting the characteristics of component analysis. Part 3 covers the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine formulations, emphasizing the impact of different formulations on quality analysis. Part 4 focuses on the establishment of quality standards. Part 5 deals with the analysis of biological samples. Part 6 introduces the application of new technologies and methods in traditional Chinese medicine analysis. Compared to the previous edition, this book has added content determination and residual quantity inspection for traditional Chinese medicine preparations. In the chapter on content determination, it emphasizes the significance and sample processing characteristics of content determination for traditional Chinese medicine preparations. In the chapter on new methods and technologies, it introduces high-resolution gas chromatography, headspace gas chromatography, chromatography coupling techniques, high-efficiency capillary electrophoresis, supercritical fluid chromatography, and traditional Chinese medicine fingerprint profiles. The book also includes 28 experiments on the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine preparations, 3 qualitative analysis experiments, 7 inspection experiments, 14 content determination experiments, and 4 quality analysis scheme design experiments.
