Publish Date: 2004-01-01
Features: Professor John P. Uyemura has long been engaged in research and teaching in the field of VLSI at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States, possessing profound academic expertise and extensive teaching experience. Before the publication of this book, he had already published multiple textbooks in this field. This book is his latest work, offering in-depth yet accessible content, starting with fundamental knowledge and gradually discussing advanced topics, with many valuable references listed at the end of each chapter. Therefore, this book can serve not only as a textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students in electronic, electrical, automation, and computer-related fields but also as a reference for relevant scientists and engineering technicians.
This book introduces the fundamentals of CMOS digital large-scale integrated circuits and system design. The entire book is divided into three parts. Part 1 covers the logic and physical layer design of integrated circuits, including the logic design and signal control of CMOS static gates, chip production and manufacturing processes, layout design, and CAD tools. Part 2 discusses CMOS electronic circuits, introducing the characteristics and switching models of MOSFETs, various logic circuits (including high-speed CMOS logic circuits), and both classical and modern methods for analyzing logic chain delays. Part 3 focuses on VLSI system design, introducing the Verilog-HDL high-level description language, analyzing digital system unit library components, and exploring the design of adders and multipliers. It also examines physical design considerations, including clock technology, layout and routing, signal crosstalk, testing, and power consumption issues.
This book can serve as a textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students in electronic, electrical, automation, and computer-related fields, as well as a reference for relevant scientists and engineering technicians.
