Features: The Business Family is set against the backdrop of the fierce competition between merchants from Osaka and Tokyo, depicting a story with themes of money and love. For years, Yasutaka Ryoichi from Osaka had deliberately sought to disrupt the stock market in Tokyo's Tsukiji. The brokers in Tokyo's Tsukiji, including Shigeru, felt both resentful and fearful towards Ryoichi's business tactics. As a result, Ryoichi fulfilled his long-held desire to halt trading at the exchange, forcing Shigeru's brokerage firm to collapse and canceling the engagement between Shigeru's daughter, Yasuko, and Shigeru. When Ryoichi returned to Osaka after fulfilling his ambition, he was stabbed to death by Shigeru's daughter, Haruko, as an act of revenge. Grieving and released from her father's taboos, Yasuko eventually accepted Shigeru.
