Features: This book exposes and satirizes the backward, ugly, false, cruel, dark, and unequal phenomena existing in Polish society at that time through a absurd and bizarre story. "Ferdiduque," without a clear meaning, is said to be a symbol of anti-tradition and anti-conformity, and a mark of the author's creative thought and aesthetic revolution. Josef is a 30-year-old writer whose works are difficult to be understood by the critics and readers. In despair, his former teacher Pinco transforms him into a teenager, sending him back to school to study with a group of unruly classmates. The unruly boys resist the outdated and ignorant education of the school with childish and ridiculous means. After failing in his first love, Joseph, together with his companion Mentus, flees the city and goes to the countryside with his aunt, trying to "find real farmhands," but there is still a feudal patriarchal rule, which makes them quite disappointed. Mentus forces the young servant of the landlord to "swear brotherhood" with him through absurd means, causing panic among the estate owners, and the quiet farm is instantly in chaos. They have no choice but to flee again.
