Is the vaccine for preventing children's pneumonia useful?

Patient's question:

I don't know what's going on, but my child has been misbehaving lately and crying non-stop. Even the hospital check-up didn't help. I'm wondering if the vaccine for preventing pediatric pneumonia is effective.

Doctor's answer:

This vaccine primarily prevents diseases caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus pneumoniae, including pneumonia, otitis media, meningitis, and so on. I haven't heard of any side effects. It's mandatory in foreign countries, so the safety is definitely guaranteed. However, in my opinion, every baby has a different constitution, and there may be some reactions after vaccination to some extent. If there's absolutely no reaction after getting vaccinated, that would be the problem.
