Features: Returner's Anthology · Volume 2. This book is a selected collection of short stories by the novelist Xu Kun, featuring some of his most representative works to date. The photographs embedded within the text resemble windows, through which a person gazes outside. Her face is that of a child, a teenager, an adult—her back and surroundings are houses, trees, the sky, haystacks, and other people. The wind of time blows over all these things, as if they are instantly stripped of color and aged, while she stubbornly grows older, as if she is the only one who has no intention of stopping. She grows because of her constant escape; yet it seems as if she has left herself forever in that place, helplessly watching another version of herself drift away.
