Features: For most of us, we are accustomed to learning about the world in a general way from television and newspapers. This habit proves that we are fortunate, as the environment we live in is peaceful. When we hastily scan distant turmoil and warfare in the evening news every day, we rarely think deeply, let alone understand the state of the world and the fate of humanity. However, there is another group of people who must directly confront these realities. They move about in the blood and fire of battlefields, not just to fill news time or space, but more importantly, to witness the history we are living through. The images captured at great risk, even at the risk of their lives, not only provide us with a powerful visual impact but also allow us to discover humanity within them, stirring up our passion, sorrow, love, courage, and sense of justice. This reflection and understanding of the world today will create meaning for the future. This book is a carefully selected and treasured edition of the outstanding series Black Lens. All the photographs have once caused great shock and even brought about turning points in history and social change. Many of these works have been awarded prestigious international photography awards such as the World Press Photo Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Photography.
